Appearances

2011

ARCHIVE 2009  2010

This is a list of my public activities.  Just click on the year. I only list my appearances at events that are open to the public – if you book a talk or workshop for your society, school or group, the details will remain private.

I used to list public events and exhibitions about Japan, history, costume etc that I found interesting, but it took up too much writing time, so I stopped. If you want to find such events, the Japan Society and the Japan Foundation offer many useful resources for schools, students and those interested in Japan and its culture. The British Museum, Museum of London and Victoria and Albert offer literally dozens of exhibitions, classes, talks and workshops every month, many free. The Cartoon Museum has regular free family events as well as a range of paying workshops on topics from animation to manga.

European and North American anime, manga and science fiction/fantasy events happen almost every weekend – there are several listings on the web, including this one at AnimeCons.com.
