To 24 January, York Art Gallery, York: Japanese Sashiko Textiles, the first major museum exhibition of this fascinating craft.

To 11 April, The Textile Museum, Washington DC, USA: Contemporary Japanese Fashion: The Mary Baskett Collection – fabulous chance to see one woman’s personal collection of much-loved Japanese classics from the 1960s to the present.
