Valerie Lejeune’s Cross Stitch Letters Bible is out now from Editions de Saxe. Volume 1 (!) has 700 pages and offers 844 alphabets of all kinds, enough to keep any stitcher going for years, all designed with that wonderful precision and elegance that’s a mark of French cross-stitch.

I saw it on Violarium, a lovely Finnish cross stitch site that specialises in French designs, books and magazines. Their website and blog are bilingual so you don’t need to learn one of the three most complex languages on Earth to go there. (The other two, if you’re up for a challenge, are Welsh and Japanese.) They have a lovely site packed with stitch goodies and they charge the same (low, IMO) shipping fees wherever you are. This strikes me as a good incentive to support a small business, but  Amazon France and Amazon Canada also list the book.

Thanks to geekchixxx for the tip-off!
