Manga Impact! Locarno International Film Festival

Switzerland’s Locarno International Film Festival and Italy’s National Cinema Museum in Turin have joined forces to present Manga Impact! The World of Japanese Animation, a special event at this year’s Festival, held from 5-15 August. Mushishi Multimedia: three versions of one vision

Mushishi is a magical manga which was turned into a magical animated series by the craftsman at Artland. When Katsuhiro Otomo re-made it as a live action movie, there was certainly no lack of magic. Logic, however, turned out to be a more important ingredient than might have been assumed.
